Happy New Year! I don't know about all of you, but for me this past year just flew by! If there were major losses in your life, it might be a year that you feel was a bad dream and just want to forget. January can be even more reflective and difficult for us than the holidays in feeling those losses. In addition to feeling the emotions around loss, there is the constant reminder and question of, "What are your New Year's resolutions?" After all this, you may just want to forget that we're in a new year! But we are in fact in a New Universal Year, and a new Universal vibration, which calls for celebration!

Everything not only happens for a reason, but everything also has a vibration. I know sometimes it's very, very hard to change the way we view something, or to be able to move on from a painful loss. However, by changing your energy and your thoughts, you change what you bring into your life: people, circumstances you want or don't want, work, and money. Yes, even money is energy! Money, and anything else you want to change, is directly connected to your energy and thoughts about it.

One change that happens, and literally shifts the Universal vibration, is when we move in to a New Year. We have moved from an 8 year (2006) to 2007, or a 9 year. When 2007 is broken down to a single digit it becomes 9 (2 + 0 + 0 + 7), therefore making this a 9 year. I would urge all of you who are truly interested in learning more about a 9 year to catch the interview from my January 1st radio show with Glynis McCants, The Numbers Lady. You can download it from Contact Talk Radio at www.contacttalkradio.com. It's quite informative, and will give you a much better idea of what to expect in 2007.

The number 9 is a very spiritual number. Things get done with this vibration, when done for the "Highest Good". If something is supposed to end, let it go or it will end in its own way this year. It's important to also remember that even though 2007 is a "Universal" year that affects everyone, you can find out your own Personal year by adding 2007 plus your birth day and month. For example, if your birthday is on January 13th (1/13), add 1+1+3 (5) plus the Universal year number (9), and you will get 14. Again, you'll break your numbers down to single digits (in this case, 1 + 4), which makes up your Personal year vibration. By combining your Personal year number with the Universal year, you will be given a general guideline of what to expect this year. For example: If your personal year breaks down to a 1 year, this would be a year for beginnings (from personal to professional), or just deciding what you want your year to be, or where you want your year to go. A 2 year indicates that you're going to think about partnerships . . . again, this could mean professionally, personally, or maybe even a "commitment". Each of the numbers has a vibration! Again, some of this is discussed in my interview with Glynis McCants in the archives of my radio show.

If this is a year for you to do some inner work (which is key to a 9 year!), or you have wanted to go on that beach trip, then you might think about going to my retreat in Cancun! Just remember, because of the new immigration laws, you must have a passport to go to Mexico. So if you are serious about going, of course I'd love to meet you and have you join me! BUT . . . I want to make sure you get back home so get that passport! Many of the questions you might have regarding the retreat are posted on the calendar section of my website.

I must say, I'm very touched and tempted by all your persuasions to visit many of your hometowns including cities in Idaho, California, Wyoming, and Florida (both north and south), just to name a few. Keep posted on the board and the calendar section of my website as to my travels . . . but know that I will make definite trip out to the West Coast this year!

Now, let me share with you that each day, I consciously am thankful for all I'm given, and realize all my blessings. Given that 2007 is a Universal year and how important our thoughts are as we move into the New Year, I also want to share with you a "prayer" that came across my desk. Here it is!

Mother and Father God in Spirit,

Help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in traffic last night is a single mother who worked nine hours that day and is rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry and spend a few precious moments with her children.

Help us to remember that the pierced, tattooed, disinterested young man who can't make change correctly is a worried 19-year-old college student, balancing his apprehension over final exams with his fear of not getting his student loans for next semester.

Remind us that the scary looking bum, begging for money in the same spot every day (who really ought to get a job!) is a slave to addictions that we can only imagine in our worst nightmares.

Help us to remember that the old couple walking annoyingly slow through the store aisles and blocking our shopping progress are savoring this moment, knowing that, based on the biopsy report she got back last week, this will be the last year that they go shopping together .

Mother and Father God in Spirit, remind us each day that, of all the gifts you give us, the greatest gift is love. It is not enough to share that love with those we hold dear. Open our hearts not to just those who are close to us, but to all humanity. Let us be slow to judge and quick to forgive, show patience, empathy and love."

I think this prayer says it all!

So for 2007, focus on all you want, be thankful for your blessings, and always, know the most important thing is love. That spirit of love will always include those loved ones that are in your heart, and in spirit.

Warmly,
SUZANE ~

Your Questions Answered

Question #1 comes from Myrna.

She wrote: "I have tried so many times to have this question answered with no responses from several different psychics. Today I will try one more time as this is the Christmas season and this event happened on Christmas Day.  My father passed in January 1998, two days before I had my ticket to arrive at his home.  Needless to say I was broken hearted. As a nurse I blamed myself for a long time for not going sooner.  Anyway, after attending a psychic seminar in which we were told to choose a sign that would indicate our loved ones were around, I chose the red cardinal.  On Christmas morning, of the year he died, the cardinals started landing in a barren tree outside my kitchen window. One by one they came until they numbered seven. They were all facing me in my kitchen. They sat there for quite some time, a beautiful sight with the snowflakes falling around them. I remember thinking ‘Merry Christmas to me.'  My question is: what is the significance of the number seven biblically or otherwise?"

You are right; as a nurse, of course you understand the need for being there if you feel someone is passing. However, what I know to be true is that if you are supposed to be there, you will be . . . and if you are not, you won't be. That decision was placed solely on your father. I'm sure you've experienced people being by a sick family member for almost 24 hours, then they step out of the room, and the person passes over. So, I would say that your father would want you never to feel blame; that is clearly made true by his visitation! So yes, if you asked for a sign (the red cardinals), and they showed up on Christmas day, I would say without question, "Merry Christmas to You"!

As for the number 7, it is considered by all theologicians the spiritual number. There are seven chakras in Eastern Philosophy, and in Western Philosophy, it represents the seven seals and veils.

The second question was posed on the board by JayCee, in a thread about reincarnation:

"I used to think that reincarnation was a good idea – a chance to ‘do over' if we had missed doing what we should have done or learned this time around. Now with the loss of a loved one only a few months ago, the only thing that keeps me going is the thought that we can be together again in spirit. What if he gets ‘recycled' before I get there? We met too late to have together the full life experience here on earth so a chance to have a ‘do over' is a nice thought but what if we miss each other again? That is something I can't bear to think about. Anyone know of a good book on the subject?"

Jaycee: I believe Dino answered your question very appropriately on the board. But just to reiterate, you don't have to be worried, for your "loved one" will in fact be there when you cross over! It is a very important part of the Soul Program. If there is a need to complete, resolve or just know that connection will continue, they will be there. But, Dino is right – as a rule, and all rules are subject to the individual soul, we don't come back or reincarnate that fast. The rule of thumb is that 100 years or five generations pass before we reincarnate. I often am reminded that in cemeteries after about five generations people stop coming to visit their ancestors.

Question #3 comes from Debbie.

She asks: "What is your opinion on orbs showing up in pictures? Last Christmas and this Christmas I took pictures of my boys, and an orb showed up over their heads. Is this someone who is watching over them? You once told me in a validation that my dad was watching over my boys."

Debbie: Orbs in photos are very common and yes, they are often our loved ones in spirit letting us know they are around. This happens quite frequently around holidays, weddings, birthdays, or any other family gathering where your "DP's" want to let you know they are around. And yes, he is watching over your boys! Trust that if it's happened more than once, you can be sure it is in no way a "coincidence"!

The last question comes from Bren.

She wrote: "My husband, son and I reside in my husband's deceased parents' house, which we purchased a year following his mother's death. I have noticed time and again that when my husband is anxious, angry, upset, etc., that strange things occur in the house such as lights flickering. Mostly it has to do with electrical (we had it checked and there is no problem with our connection or wiring). Coincidentally, my deceased father-in-law was an electrician. Is it possible that his parents are making contact and this is their way? The only other strange occurrence happened last night – I was stringing lights on our Christmas tree and heard foot steps upstairs that sounded as if they stopped in front of the hall closet (his mother's antique Christmas figurines are kept in there and I hadn't gotten an opportunity to get them out yet). Was she reminding me?"

You are right . . . there is NO coincidence that your father-in-law is most definitely letting you, and your husband, know that he is around! In your case, you reside in his house, but I see this with many people. However, the fact he was an electrician warrants his presence even more. He obviously is aware of your husband's (his son's) outpourings of emotion. It also looks like your mother-in-law is letting you know her little ways of connecting as well! Welcome them; I assure you she is reminding you of her presence, too. These occurrences are common to begin with, but during the holidays you can be sure they even more common!

Warmly,
SUZANE ~
